BBC unveils gripping teaser for SAS: Rogue Heroes starring Jack O'Connell

Nick Vivarelli International CorrespondentItaly’s True Colours has taken world sales on Italian director Mario Martone’s Cannes competition entry “Nostalgia,” starring Pierfrancesco Favino, who is known to Cannes audiences as the protagonist of Marco Bellocchio’s 2019 drama “The Traitor.”Set in Martone’s native Naples, “Nostalgia” sees Favino play the middle-aged Felice Lasco, who returns to the bustling port city after having lived in Egypt for 40 years. Once back, he drowns into the memories of a distant life he spent in hometown.Martone will be returning to a Cannes competition berth with “Nostalgia” 27 years after his Elena Ferrante adaptation “L’amore molesto” (“Troubling Love”) launched in competition from the Croisette in 1995.

The Shining is going on auction this Wednesday (April 20).In the 1980 horror movie, Jack Torrance (portrayed by Nicholson) delivers the film’s famous line, “Here’s Johnny!” after breaking through a bathroom door to attack his wife amid a psychotic episode.As TMZ reports, the axe from the Stanley Kubrick-directed film is going up for sale through Gotta Have Rock and Roll auction house in a couple of days’ time.The auction house told the publication that the axe prop is still in very good condition and is displayed in a shadow box frame along with some photos of it in action in the movie. It’s expected to fetch at least $100,000 (£76,693).Meanwhile, in other The Shining news, Ben Stiller is reportedly in talks to play Torrance in a stage adaptation of Stephen King’s novel.The actor and filmmaker is in line to play the role in new play by Ivo van Hove that’s coming to the London West End next year.“We can confirm that we are in negotiations with Ben Stiller about his starring in Ivo van Hove’s theatre production of Stephen King’s The Shining, adapted by Simon Stephens, for the West End with dates tbc,” a spokesperson for Sonia Friedman Productions said in a statement obtained by Variety.

Psy has previewed a snippet of his new song ‘Happier’, featuring K-R&B singer-songwriter Crush.The animated teaser follows the life of a man from birth, who begins to lose sight of happiness as he grows older, panting as he desperately tries to keep up with the rat race as a snippet of the song plays.“I wanna be happier / I wanted to be someone’s love / I wanted to be proud,” the duo sing in the short clip. ‘Happier’ will be the eighth track of Psy’s upcoming comeback record, ‘Psy 9th’.‘Psy 9th’ is due out on April 29, and will mark the end of the singer’s five-year absence from music.

LONDON -- British author Jack Higgins, who wrote “The Eagle Has Landed” and other bestselling thrillers and espionage novels, has died. He was 92.Publisher HarperCollins said that Higgins died at his home on the English Channel island of Jersey surrounded by his family.Born Henry Patterson in in Newcastle, England, in July 1929, Higgins served in the military before studying sociology at the London School of Economics.
