Stores across the UK are collaborating with Heinz to offer the comforting meal, which will be available to any customer who “asks for Henry”.
The name of the initiative comes as a tribute to honour of the legacy and goodwill of its founder, Henry J Heinz, who aimed to help feed the nation when times were tough.
Heinz hopes the new initiative will be able to help out those who are struggling financially during October, including families with little ones.
Jojo De Noronha, president Northern Europe at Heinz said: "October marks the birthday of a very special member of the Heinz family, our founder Henry J. Heinz.
"Henry brought comfort and goodness to others, not just through his food but his actions.
"We want to honour his good heart and kind spirit by doing what he did best, helping feed people in times of need - and that’s why we’re launching ‘ask for Henry’ with our partner Morrisons on October 26.
"We believe everyone deserves the goodness, comfort and warmth a can of Heinz Beanz can bring, and whilst we know it doesn’t fix the problem, we hope our ‘ask for Henry’ initiative can be of some help at this difficult time for many, particularly over half term.”
Sian Whittle, category director of Morrisons Cafés, said: “We know that our customers are under real financial pressure at the moment and are therefore pleased to be partnering with Heinz on its ‘ask for Henry’ initiative to offer customers a free jacket potato topped with Beanz.”

About a month ago, Charlamagne the God was publically dragged for questioning Chief Keef‘s influence, absurdly claiming that the Chicago rapper didn’t “change the world.” Those defending Keef’s impossible-to-overstate legacy defended it on Twitter, and even exposed some new wrinkles: Lil Gnar, an artist signed to Keef’s label 43B, tweeted at the time: “im in spain rn n da biggest rappers here told me dey learned english jus to understand what chief keef says.” That’s pretty incredible! If I sound reflective, it’s because this week saw the ninth anniversary of Almighty So, a mixtape from Chief Keef that’s become a significant chapter in his career. So it’s no small thing that his next full-length project is being billed as a sequel.
