‘Batgirl’ Directors Would Still Love To Work With Warner Bros. Discovery In The Future

Warner Bros Discovery now expects to incur total pre-tax restructuring charges of $4.1 – $5.3 billion, which includes $2.8 – $3.5 billion of content impairment and development write-offs as it takes a hatchet to its programming. That’s well above the merged company’s initial announcement of charges for $3.2 – $4.3 billion related to its restructuring and transformation initiatives, which included $2 – $2.5 billion on th content side.

Warner Bros. Discovery is moving aggressively into the free streaming, or FAST space, after removing a glut of titles from HBO Max.

John Cena (Peacemaker) and Jason Momoa (Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom) have signed on to star in the action-comedy Killer Vacation from Warner Bros., Deadline can confirm.

Discovery Global Brands and Experiences division unveiled the global leadership for its consumer products business, formalizing the marriage of legacy Warner Bros. and Discovery operations. David Decker has been promoted to President, Content Sales for Warner Bros. Discovery effective Jan. 2, 2023. The promotion of Decker follows long-time Warner Bros. Content Sales President Jim Wuthrich’s decision to depart at the end of the year.
