Ivory Aquino has joined the cast of Batgirl.
According to Deadline, Ivory will star Leslie Grace, J.K. Simmons, Brendan Fraser, Michael Keaton and Jacob Scipio in the upcoming movie for HBO Max.
Ivory will take on the role of Barbara’s best friend, bartender Alysia Yeoh, who is the first major transgender character ever to appear in a film adaptation of DC comics.
There are no specifics about the movie, but Batgirl will center on Gotham City police commissioner Jim Gordon’s (Simmons) daughter, Barbara (Grace).
