Barack Obama, Bill Clinton & More Former U.S. Presidents Respond to Queen Elizabeth's Death

Former Presidents Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter, George W. Bush and Donald Trump have released statements regarding the death of Queen Elizabeth.
The Queen passed away Thursday (September 8) at the age of 96.
She ruled for an iconic and historic 70 years and interacted with all of the living former Presidents at some time during their tenures in office.

Barack released a joint statement with his wife Michelle Obama.
“Like so many of you, Michelle and I are grateful to have witnessed Her Majesty’s dedicated leadership, and we are awed by her legacy of tireless, dignified public service,” they wrote on Twitter. “Our thoughts are with her family and the people of the United Kingdom at this difficult time.”
A statement released by Bill also referenced Hillary Clinton.
Jimmy honored the Queen as a “remarkable leader.”
“Rosalynn and I extend our condolences to the family of Queen Elizabeth II and the citizens of the United Kingdom. Her dignity, graciousness, and sense of duty have been an inspiration, and we join the millions around the world in mourning a remarkable leader,” he said, according to the Daily Mail.
“Laura and I were honored to have known her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. She was a woman of great intellect, charm, and wit,” George reflected.
Donald‘s statement was issued on his social media platform Truth Social.
“Queen Elizabeth’s historic and remarkable reign left a tremendous legacy of peace and prosperity for Great Britain,” he said.
