Former Eastenders actor Ashvin Luximon passed away at the age of 38 last month due to an aneurysm, his family confirmed in August. He was best known for playing Asif Malik in the soap and, following his death, his family set up a tribute site where people can donate to the NSPCC or Andy's Man Club.
Announcing the news of Ashvin's death, his family said on his tribute site: "This site is a tribute to Ash, who passed on the 23rd July 2022 due to a aneurysm," they wrote. "Ash's unexpected passing has hit us all hard, but we want to take the time to remember his larger than life spirit." They continued: "He loved and was loved by so many.
He sang a mean karaoke tune and had a voice loud enough to hear from space! He brought laughter and the best cuddles." The family went on: "Please use this space to share thoughts, photos and memories. Please be respectful.
"As a family we would like to ask anyone who would have made a floral tribute to instead donate to our chosen charities, the NSPCC (Ash was the ultimate Uncle) and Andy's Man Club ( a charity aimed at helping men talk)." Here's everything we know about Ashvin's life Early life and family Ashvin Luximon was Born on June 30, 1984 in Enfield, North London, where he lived with his Mauritian parents, and he found a love for acting after attending Bowden’s Theatre School on Saturdays. Manori Ravindran International Editor Pop star Harry Styles may be in one of the most hotly anticipated movies at the Venice Film Festival, but he still considers himself a newbie in the acting world. The musician told journalists in Venice: “Music I’ve done a little longer so I’m a bit more comfortable. What I like about acting is I feel like I have no idea what I’m doing.” The “Don’t Worry Darling” star said he considers music and acting to be “opposite in a lot of ways.” “Making music is a really personal thing,” said Styles, who was speaking at a press conference for the Warner Bros. Discovery movie on Monday afternoon. He was joined by his co-stars Gemma Chan and Chris Pine, and his director and rumored girlfriend Olivia Wilde.
Elsa Keslassy International Correspondent MK2 Films has scored key territory deals on Japanese director Koji Fukada’s “Love Life,” which makes its world premiere in competition at the Venice Film Festival. Set in contemporary Japan, “Love Life” is a character-driven film revolving around Taeko and her husband, Jiro, who are living a peaceful existence with her young son, Keita. When a tragic accident brings the boy’s long-lost father, Park, back into her life, Taeko throws herself into helping this deaf and homeless man to cope with the pain and guilt. Popular Japanese actress Fumino Kimura (“The Fable: The Killer Who Doesn’t Kill”) headlines the film. MK2 Films has now sold the movie to Teodora (Italy), Imagine (Benelux), Leopardo (Portugal), Demiurg (Ex Yugoslavia), New Cinema (Israel), Swallow Wings (Taiwan), Edko (Hong Kong), Impact Films (India) and Encore Inflight (Airlines).
Patrick Frater Asia Bureau Chief The titles of Fukada Koji’s films almost drip with bitter irony. “Sayonara” seemed to be a farewell to human actors. Instead of being harmonious, Cannes Un Certain Regard jury prize-winner “Harmonium” was pitch black and steeped in quiet violence. Fukada’s latest, Venice Film Festival competition title carries the moniker “Love Life.” But its subject matter is loneliness. The story starts out on familiar lines, involving a married couple where suddenly the ex-husband of the wife appears, potentially setting up the melodrama of a triangular relationship. But in Fukada’s hands things are colder and more painful. The newcomer is burdensome, deaf and homeless. His arrival triggers, not love, but fragmentation, individualism and loneliness.
