Supermarket giant Asda is helping shoppers save some extra cash by officially rolling out their new loyalty scheme to every store across the country.
The Big Four Grocer has announced that their first ever loyalty scheme Asda Rewards will officially be available in all 633 stores nationwide, following a successful trial earlier this year.
It comes just as households across the country where hit with a bleak warning that annual shopping prices are set to rise by £533 as grocery price inflation jumped to 11.6% - the fastest rate since 2008.
The Mirror reports that customers will be able to keep their bills low with the new app as it will allow them to earn vouchers that will allow them to save money.
The Asda Rewards App was previously trialled in 48 stores across The UK - with The Daily Record reporting that three of those stores were based in Central Scotland. According to Asda, the app-based loyalty programme has already seen over 1 million customers sign up amidst the cost of living crisis.
The app can be downloaded from Apple App Store and Google Play store.
Each time you shop online or instore, you will be credited with Asda Pounds by scanning the barcode or logging into your account at checkout.
The Asda Pounds will accumulate into a Cashpot where the balance can be converted into vouchers to spend with the supermarket.
You can add to the Cashpot through missions and Star Products.
Different missions are added to the app regularly - they range from buying a certain number of products from a particular department, to spending a minimum amount over multiple visits.
Some examples of these offered today include:
Spend £50 by September 30 to earn £1.50
Buy five health and beauty products by 24 August to earn £2
Buy ten packets
