Arlene Phillips is 'delighted' to be a Dancing On Ice judge

Dancing On Ice viewers were confused to spot Vanessa Bauer in the audience on Sunday night's show.

Dancing On Ice viewers were left taken-aback when presenter Phillip Schofield made a direct reference to Sally Dynevor's blunder during Sunday night's show. The Coronation Street actress had been tasked with a solo skating segment during the show, as Olympic pros Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean fought to get Sally improving in her technique and confidence.

This week was a stressful one on Dancing On Ice, according to Associate Creative Director Dan Whiston. Due to the heavy winds from Storm Eunice, rehearsals had to cease with everything still unfinished on Saturday, one day before the live show. "On Sunday morning everyone was stressed to the max because they hadn't had their normal rehearsal time," Dan shared.

Bez - who was partnered with Angela Egan - failed to impress the judges during the skate-off and he was sent home instead of the soap star.

The Dancing On Ice panel was clearly wowed by Brendan Cole and partner Brendyn Hatfield after a fabulous routine inspired by the musical Jersey Boys. Brendan came out to skate with Brendyn on Sunday night after regular partner Vanessa Bauer was struck down with Covid earlier this week. But tonight she proudly watched on in the audience after coming out of isolation as Brendan definitely did her proud.

Regan Gascoigne was given a full house of nines tonight on Dancing On Ice, but many viewers didn’t feel he was worthy of such a high score after he was heavily critiqued by the judges.  Dancer Regan is one of the favourites to win, having consistently performed to a high standard with partner Karina Manta. Tonight, the pair kicked off the show with a routine to You Can’t Stop The Beat from Hairspray, as they dazzled in another impressive performance.

She was a judge on the hit BBC show Strictly Come Dancing before famously being replaced by singer Alesha Dixon in 2009.
