‘See’: Apple TV+ Follows Jason Momoa’s Post-Apocalyptic Series Through To An Applause-Worthy End

Watching pop culture bicker with itself is a rare hoot. Last Sunday, HBO premiered “House of the Dragon,” the network’s first “Game of Thrones” spin-off; tacitly acknowledging the medieval fantasy misery fest’s brand, the pilot episode builds to a birth scene shot with grisly excess and ending with mother and child wrapped in funeral shrouds.

Peter Jackson Says There’s “5 Or 6 Hours” Of Great ‘Beatles: Get Back’ Footage, But Disney/Apple “Reluctant” To Release Extended Cut

Directed and shaped by filmmaker Peter Jackson—based on footage shot by director Michael Lindsay-Hogg for the little-seen 1970 “Let It Be” documentary— perhaps no piece of pop culture has reignited Beatlemania like the documentary “Beatles: Get Back,” save for maybe the “The Beatles Anthology” docu-series in 1995. Released last fall to much acclaimed, Jackson’s gargantuan six-hour, three-episode long series put the band in a whole new light for a whole new generation, recontextualizing previously unseen footage of the band writing, practicing, and recording their final album before their infamous breakup.

‘Catastrophe’ star Sharon Horgan on her new Apple show ‘Bad Sisters’

Apple TV+ series “Bad Sisters” is part comedy and part thriller — following a group of sisters who may or may not have killed their toxic brother-in-law. “I had finished ‘Catastrophe,’” Horgan, 52, told The Post, referring to the previous show in which she starred and co-wrote (2015-2019).“That was a big part of my life for four years, writing that with Rob Delaney and making it. And when that ended, I had to look for something else. They’re quite big shoes to fill – you’ve got to love it, because it’s an awful lot of work.

Apple Moving Martin Scorsese’s ‘Killers Of The Flower Moon’ To 2023 With An Intended Cannes Premiere

Oscars Night 2022 was shocking for one obvious reason: the slap that Will Smith handed Chris Rock that got Smith subsequently banned from the Academy for ten years. But “CODA” winning Best Picture for Apple Original Films was arguably just as big a deal.
