Strictly Come Dancing judge Anton Du Beke has called on the ‘Strictly mole’ to stop spoiling the show results before they are broadcast saying: “People don’t want to know”. On today’s Loose Women, Anton was asked by Ruth Langsford about the spoilers, which reveal the celebrity booted off the BBC show prior to it being shown on TV on Sunday night. Anton said: “It gets on my nerves.
Please stop. I don’t know who you are but please stop. Don’t do it.
Why would you do it? Nobody knows who it is." He added: "The audience, like the people who go to (Agatha Christie murder mystery play) The Mousetrap for example, which has been going for years, we’re all in it together. "Knowledge is power and all that sort of stuff, everyone has an agreement we won’t say anything, so I don’t know who does it." The ballroom judge concluded: “They call you a spoiler for a reason - because you’re a spoiler. Don’t do it… Try to stop spoiling it please, because people don’t want to know.” Bosses of Strictly Come Dancing are said to be on the hunt to find the mole who keeps leaking the show results, before they're aired on TV.
The results show is recorded after Saturday night's main show, but the results aren't aired until Sunday night, and details of the celebrity to be voted off are kept hush-hush. After the voting line has closed and the results show has been recorded, someone appears to be leaking the top-secret information. This weekend, Strictly fans were left in shock as the leak revealed the two celebs in the dance off. Strictly bosses go to great lengths to keep details secret, as all audience members have their phones taken away during filming.
