The mother of an unarmed man shot dead by Greater Manchester Police has lost a legal challenge to change the law after the prosecution of a senior officer over the killing collapsed because sensitive material could not be used in court.
Anthony Grainger, 36, was shot dead through a car windscreen by a GMP firearms officer in a car park in Culcheth, Cheshire, in March 2012.
