Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have taken inspiration from the Top Gun hero Maverick, as they arrived for the third day of Britain's Got Talent auditions on Tuesday. The presenting duo arrived at the London Palladium dressed in pilots uniforms inspired by the British Red Arrows, to film a skit that will air when the new series kicks off this spring.
Ant and Dec's inspiration is aptly timed given the long-awaited Top Gun sequel is finally set for release in May 2022, after being delayed multiple times due to the Covid pandemic. Arriving on the red carpet, both Ant and Dec could be seen sporting the matching outfits, with the pair springing into action as they filmed an action-packed skit.
The pair were joined by judges Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Amanda Holden, after last year's series was cancelled due to the Covid pandemic. The fifteenth series, planned for production and broadcast last year, was met with concerns from ITV, Thames and Syco Entertainment on how to safely conduct filming amid new government restrictions to combat COVID-19.
The initial decision was to postpone production until later on that year, however all involved agreed that they would not produce a new series until 2022. Amanda Holden has gifted fellow Britain’s Got Talent panellist Simon Cowell with bike stabilisers following his second e-bike crash. The judge was reportedly rushed to hospital after being involved in a collision by his West London home last week, leaving co-judge Amanda concerned for the welfare of her colleague moving forward with his motoring activity. Admitting to buying Simon training wheels on her Heart Breakfast radio show, the host discussed how the X Factor star had been put off riding e-bikes for good since his latest accident. “We spoke about the fact that Simon Cowell had another accident on his bike didn't we…now he said he's not going to get on bikes ever again, which I think is a smart thing to do,” Amanda said, though she didn’t appear to believe the claim of her boss.
Speaking with Alesha Dixon is like receiving the best pep talk of your life. Bursting with energy and peppering the conversation with inspirational quotes – plus that famous laugh – she speaks passionately about wellbeing, self-care and finding beauty on the inside and out. With this attitude, it’s no surprise the 43 year old has become successful at so many things, from beginning her career as part of multi-platinum girl band Mis-Teeq to sitting at the judges’ table on shows such as Strictly Come Dancing, Walk The Line and, of course, Britain’s Got Talent.
Britain’s Got Talent is filmed with a live audience at the London Palladium but latest reports suggest the show’s bosses are struggling to fill the seats. The recordings of the show are said to be long and could be an indicator of why audiences are not taking up the seats. Earlier this month an audience member claimed that comedian Stuart Holdham, who is the warm-up act for the show, was begging fans to stay till the end of the judging by Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden.
David Walliams is said to be causing chaos with his pranks and jokes at the ongoing Britain’s Got Talent auditions – with Simon Cowell reportedly being left "unimpressed" by his behaviour. The comedian, 50, is said to have undone his shirt before playing with his nipples and sticking his finger through the fly of his trousers to make out he was exposing himself next to head judge Simon, 62, during auditions this week. One insider claims David got a “ticking off” after “acting like a schoolboy” within the same week that music mogul Simon berated the comedian for a cheeky comment aimed at one contestant.
Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon made bold appearances in contrasting outfits as they attended the London auditions for the new series of Britain’s Got Talent on Thursday. Filming for season 15 of the ITV show started this week and the judges are back on top in the style stakes and happily posed on the red carpet as they arrived at the London Palladium.
