Joe Hart insists Ange Postecoglou was right to give his Celtic squad an icy blast after failing to turn up the heat on Livingston.
The Hoops no.1 was on board with the boss after the Aussie was on the money with his criticism of his men in the final third in the wake of the 2-1 win as they should have been out of sight against David Martindale’s impressive Lions. Hart said: “It’s not a side that we don’t see. That’s what we see from him.
“He expects a lot from us and we expect a lot from ourselves. “He’s pretty clear with us and honest with his feelings. He lets us know. But it’s not a shock, it’s not a bolt. We know it’s coming. We know when we are playing well and when our flow is good.
“But he regularly points out to us that it’s all very well and good to get to a certain height. But the higher you get the harder it is to stay at that level. He wants the best for us. But there are different ways of getting that out of us and he can’t be nice all the time.”
Celtic still got the job done to make it 16 wins out of 17 games in the Premiership this season and take a nine points lead into the festive week. The Hoops were made to wait for their win at Pittodrie last weekend but Hart is confident his side will click into gear with St Johnstone at Parkhead tomorrow.
He said: “Obviously it was an important win in the context of the league. We would have loved to have played a lot better and scored more goals but we got it done.
“We played well last Saturday at Aberdeen and were comfortable in
