A giant asteroid, more than a kilometre wide, will be soaring past the Earth tonight.
The asteroid is set to pass the planet from a distance of around 1 million miles and scientists say it will be its closest approach for the next 200 years.
Anyone who's watched Netflix hit 'Don't Look Up' might be concerned at the news that a giant space rock could be hurtling towards the Earth.
Adam Kay's satirical film follows two scientists as they desperately try and warn the public about a comet on a collision course with the planet set to wipe out humanity.
But, experts say the asteroid poses no threat to Earth and at its closest will pass more than five times the moon’s distance from the planet.
It has been studied by scientists at Nasa for decades.
Called 7482 (1994 PC1), the asteroid is more than a kilometre wide at 1,052m (3,451ft), which is bigger than the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
The asteroid was discovered by Robert McNaught at the Siding Spring Observatory in Australia in August 1994.
Nasa's Asteroid Watch Twitter account posted: “Near-Earth #asteroid 1994 PC1 (~1 km wide) is very well known and has been studied for decades by our #PlanetaryDefense experts.
“Rest assured, 1994 PC1 will safely fly past our planet 1.2 million miles away next Tues, Jan 18.”
Anyone hoping to catch a glimpse of the asteroid will need a telescope, as it won't be visible by the naked eye of you just head outside tonight.
However, Italy's Virtual Telescope Project, which is based in Rome, will host a livestream starting 8pm GMT, allowing people to see the asteroid at its brightest.
You can watch the livestream here, and you can track the asteroid's location here.
