Amy Schumer is speaking out with a response to people who gave her backlash for that Oscars moment with Kirsten Dunst.
The Oscars co-host pretended to mistake Kirsten for a seat filler during a funny moment at the 2022 Academy Awards on Sunday (March 27) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
Amy explained the need for seat fillers during the show and then walked over to Kirsten and partner Jesse Plemons‘ table. She motioned at Kirsten and said, “Here’s a seat filler. Honey, do you want to go to the bathroom?”
Amy then pulled Kirsten out of the seat and sat in it herself. When Jesse pointed out that Kirsten is his wife, Amy responded, “You’re married to that seat filler?”

Amy took to Instagram Stories and said, “Hey I appreciate the love for Kirsten Dunst. I love her too! That was a choreographed bit she was in on. Wouldn’t disrespect that queen like that.”
