Freevee has come to the rescue for American Rust. Amazon’s free ad-supported video on demand streaming service (formerly IMDb TV) has ordered a second season of the Rust Belt drama series, with Jeff Daniels and Maura Tierney returning to lead the cast.
American Rust initially was ordered straight-to-series at USA Network in November 2017, but a few months later, the network opted not to move forward with it. At the time, sources said the order was contingent on the producers finding a big star for the lead, which didn’t happen. It then moved to Showtime, with Daniels attached to star and executive produce, where it aired for one season. The network announced in January that it would not be renewed, and now Freevee has picked up the drama following its cancellation by Showtime. The show will stream exclusively on Freevee.
“I’m grateful to Amazon Freevee for giving us the chance to make Season Two of American Rust. Set inside a struggling American small town, our authentic, realistically told story is built for streaming. The movies they don’t make anymore are being made as series at places like Amazon Freevee. It’s where I want to be,” said Daniels.
“American Rust is exactly the type of gritty and engaging storytelling Amazon Freevee audiences love, and we could not be more excited to bring this prestige series to our customers, free of charge,” said Lauren Anderson and Ryan Pirozzi, co-heads of content and programming at Amazon Freevee. “We can’t wait to dive in with Boat Rocker and Dan Futterman to continue the story that intrigued audiences during the first season, and to see the evolution of characters so expertly portrayed by Jeff and Maura in this next chapter.”

“Killing It” has been renewed for a second season at Peacock. The Craig Robinson–led comedy is a show that probes the stressors of America’s dog-eat-dog system of capitalism — via the killing of very large snakes. If there hadn’t been a body count, Chris and Jeff George’s escapades might have made for a divinely trashy TLC reality show. The brothers had gargantuan appetites, a habit of breaking the law without consequences, a flair for exaggeration, and a knack for spending money as fast as it came in on all the things that would keep a certain kind of viewer coming back: strip club visits, firearms, McMansions, and jacked-up trucks.

The horrors of opioid addiction, greed, corporate interests, and the exploitation of the drug and patients are nothing new, and shows like “Dopesick” have done a great job of putting the epidemic in a great cultural, capitalistic and political context. But a new true-crime documentary, “American Pain” is showing one specific slice of the story that’s almost too unbelievable to believe.

is coming back, and it's shaping up to be more exciting than ever before! In this exclusive first look at season 14, sideline reporter Zuri Hall joins hosts Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbajabiamila to break down what fans can expect from the brand new season.First and foremost, there are some new wacky and wonderful obstacles that the competitors will be facing, including the Despica-balls — moving spheres made to look like the minions from the franchise that contestants will have to run over.Additionally, there's a carnival-themed set of obstacles that will challenge players to maneuver a ball into a slot while hanging above the ground.
