Gabrielle Union filed a complaint Thursday (June 4) with the state of California against NBC and the producers of America’s Got Talent, the latest move in a fight over her allegations that she was fired for objecting to an on-set environment that tolerated racism. The complaint filed with the Department of Fair Employment and Housing says Union was harassed and discriminated against because of her race, and experienced retaliation for reporting these problems.

Gabrielle Union has filed a complaint against the producers and network behind America's Got Talent. According to a statement from Union's attorney Bryan Freedman, which was received by Variety and People, the actress filed a harassment complaint against FremantleMedia, Simon Cowell's Syco and NBCUniversal with California's Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH).

Gabrielle Union filed a complaint Thursday in the state of California against her former employers, NBC and the producers of "America's Got Talent." It's the former "AGT" judge's latest move since her departure from the competition series after she reportedly objected to an on-set environment that allegedly tolerated racism and a generally “toxic" work culture.

It's been over six months since news broke that Gabrielle Union would not be returning to the  judges' table, but her battle with NBC, Simon Cowell, FremantleMedia and Syco Entertainment seems far from finished.

Update 6/4/2020: Gabrielle Union has filed a harassment complaint in the state of California and the producers and network of America's Got Talent. She alleges that NBC Entertainment Chairman Paul Telegdy threatened her about publicly speaking out against racism on set, Varietyreports. 

In late May, NBC announced the findings of an independent investigation into Gabrielle Union’s allegations of racism on set. Apparently, they found no wrongdoing. But now Gabrielle Union is suing America’s Got Talent’s Simon Cowell for racism along with the network. It is not the time for NBC to play.
