Amanda Owen opens up on 'chaotic home life' amid split from husband Clive

Our Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen has given fans an insight into her “chaotic” home life as she opened up about the challenges that come with living in such a remote part of Yorkshire. The Yorkshire Shepherdess runs Ravenseat Farm in the rural hills of Upper Swaledale, North Yorkshire - and although it is a rural location, Amanda admitted she finds a sense of ''peace in the countryside’’.
Speaking at The Game Fair alongside TV Chef James Martin, she explained: "You can lose yourself and distance yourself from everyone and everything. "Once I go out of that door to work it is back to basics." The 47 year old star, who recently announced she had split from her husband of 21 years Clive Owen, shared a glimpse into her daily life as she cares for her nine children and a wealth of animals that live on the farm.
The eldest of these children, Raven, 20, is currently studying at university, while her son Reuben, 17, has recently just started work as an apprentice.The rest of her children, which include Miles, 15, Edith, 12, Violet, 10, Sidney, nine, Annas, seven, and five year old Clemmie, all attend a local school. However her youngest tot, Nancy, who is just four, has yet to start school for the first time.
Yet despite the demands of work and education, life on the farm is very much a family effort, with even the youngest members of the family pitching in to help where they can. "My home life is busy and chaotic, but my work life is solitary,” added Amanda.
