It's not quite been a year since Manchester-born triathlete Georgia Taylor-Brown competed in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Last summer, the 28-year-old went from being on crutches to an Olympic champion in the space of around three months.
There's no downplaying her success; she is Great Britain's most successful female Olympic triathlete, and along with Alex Yee, the most successful Olympic triathlete at a single Games. In the last Olympics, she won the silver medal in the triathlon and the gold medal for Great Britain with Jess Learmonth, Jonathan Brownlee and Alex Yee in the Triathlon Mixed Relay.
The athlete overcame a lot just to get to Tokyo 2020. She had to undergo a fitness test and had to keep her injury - a stress reaction in her thigh bone - a secret so she did not give any advantage to the rest of the field.

Georgia, who grew up in Droylsden, Tameside, has had a busy 12 months since the Olympic games. She won the 2021 Super League Triathlon Championship Series and finished 2nd in all four of the Championship Series races.
In June, she won gold in the revived World Triathlon Sprint Championships in Montréal, and anchored her team to silver in the following day's mixed relay, confirming Great Britain's first quota places at the 2024 Summer Olympics.
