American western movie Rust, starring Alec Baldwin, will continue filming in January 2023 it has been confirmed. It comes as a deal was agreed with Halyna Hutchins' husband who will sit as an executive producer on the film.
Halyna died after being shot on the set of the movie in October last year. Following the tragic incident, Alec has always stressed that he did not pull the trigger on the gun which was being used as a prop.
He instead claims that the stunt handlers and prop managers working on the movie should have ensured that the weapon was "cold". Following the deal, Halyna's husband Matthew said: "We have reached a settlement, subject to court approval, for our wrongful death case against the producers of Rust, including Alec Baldwin and Rust Movie Productions, LLC.

"As part of that settlement, our case will be dismissed. The filming of Rust, which I will now executive produce, will resume with all the original principal players on board in January 2023.
"I have no interest in engaging in recriminations or attribution of blame (to the producers or Mr. Baldwin). All of us believe Halyna's death was a terrible accident. I am grateful that the producers and the entertainment community have come together to pay tribute to Halyna's final work."
Last month, Santa Fe District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies said she was "ready" to file charges against four people and was "certainly looking all the homicide statutes" under New Mexico criminal law. However, Santa Fe Sherrif's Office is yet to charge anybody for Hutchins' death.
