Aldi has just released a new line of its much-loved SpecialBuys - and one of which bears striking resemblance to a much more expensive item. The budget retailer is known for its great bargains on things like electricals and homeware, with furniture items also hugely popular with customers.
And one of its latest releases, which is a stylish velvet ottoman, has got shoppers excited and keen to snap it up before it sells out. Liverpool Echo reports that Aldi shared an image of the Kirkston House Velvet Storage Ottoman on Instagram, and it's available to buy both online and instore.
Priced at £19.99, it has a storage capacity of approximately 80.5L and comes in a variety of colours - blue, cream or grey. It is almost identical to an ottoman from Roseland, currently priced at £229.95. The storage trunk is the same shade of blue as the one from Aldi, though it does have metal legs whereas the Aldi version is situated directly on the ground.
Though the Roseland version is 32cm longer than the Aldi SpecialBuy, shoppers could save almost £210 by choosing the supermarket offering.
In the comments, shoppers showed their admiration for the ottoman with many saying how much they wanted it for their own homes. One person said: "That is actually stunning."
Another wrote: "Oh I've been looking for a navy blue ottoman for my bedroom." Several other people tagged their friends to make them aware of Aldi's latest bargain
Aldi's new homeware SpecialBuys range also includes a black electric room diffuser with a five-star rating, and a number of "Feels Like Cashmere" rugs costing £29.99 each.

Zack Sharf Back in 2001, Sean Penn found himself next to Jack Nicholson in a speeding car on the way to meet Russian president Vladimir Putin. The two actors were in Russia for the world premiere of “The Pledge” at the Moscow Film Festival. The Penn-directed psychological drama starred Nicholson as a retiring police detective who vows to catch the killer of a young child. Penn recently spoke to The Independent about his anxiety-inducing journey to meet Putin. “We were put in a convoy,” Penn said. “We knew that Putin was going to be the honored guest. In the nature of that time and space, we accepted the invitation. We got in this convoy, and we were going as fast as they wanted to drive, with no care for whether it might have presented danger in the villages we drove through.”
