Mo Amer took inspiration from his own life for his Netflix comedy series Mo, co-created by Ramy Youssef, which follows a Palestinian refugee seeking asylum and U.S. citizenship in Houston. The series premiered in August on the streamer and quickly received acclaim for being one of the first American TV series to feature a Palestinian-American refugee protagonist. It also scored a Gotham Award for Breakthrough Series Under 40 Minutes.

“Six Triple Eight” tells the inspiring true story of the incredible and brave women of the only all-black, all-female World War 2 Battalion. These 855 women joined the war effort with little knowledge of what exactly they would be doing, but were quickly given the mission of a lifetime: sort through and fix the three-year backlog of undelivered mail.

Tyler Perry is set to helm his fourth movie at Netflix, Six Triple Eight, which follows the 6888th battalion, the only all-black, all-female troop in the World War II effort.

One of the most under-the-radar hits for Netflix, over the years, has been “Vikings.” With its massive action and drama, the “Vikings” franchise has delivered consistent thrills to a loving fanbase. The first spinoff series, “Vikings: Valhalla” kept fans happy during its first season.

Tony Hale (Veep, Being the Ricardos), Zosia Mamet (The Flight Attendant, Girls) and Tanya Reynolds (Sex Education, Emma) are set as leads in The Decameron, Netflix’s soapy period dramedy from Teenage Bounty Hunters creator Kathleen Jordan and Orange is the New Black creator Jenji Kohan. Rounding out the cast are Amar Chadha-Patel(Willow, Wheel of Time),Leila Farzad(I Hate Suzie, Better), Lou Gala (Julia, Secrets d’histoire), Karan Gill (I May Destroy You, Screw), Saoirse-Monica Jackson (Derry Girls),Douggie McMeekin(Harlots, Chernobyl) and Jessica Plummer (The Girl Before).

Emma Myers (Wednesday) and Brady Noon (The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers) have signed on to star alongside Jennifer Garner and Ed Helms in the body-swap comedy Family Leave, which McG is directing for Netflix.
