Former Strictly Come Dancing pro AJ Pritchard has officially split from his girlfriend Abbie Quinnen after four years together, according to reports. The much loved dancer is said to have called time on his relationship with Abbie last week, leaving the 25 year old feeling “devastated” by the news. The couple, who have experienced a rough year together following a horrific injury which saw Abbie sustain third degree burns, first met in 2018, when Abbie was working as a performer on AJ's tour.
AJ, 27, and Abbie first fell for each other after seeing each other perform, with the pair almost inseparable for the past four years. However, in a shocking turn of events, AJ decided to call time on their relationship last week, leaving many fans of the couple equally devastated.
OK! have reached out to AJ's representative for comment. The news of the split will come as a huge shock to many fans of the couple, as AJ had previously revealed he had even considered tying the knot with Abbie after they grew closer throughout lockdown. Growing from strength to strength, AJ was also a strong source of support to Abbie after a fireball incident last year saw her suffer from third degree burns resulting in life changing scars.
The incident was part of a social media stunt gone wrong, and left Abbie requiring round the clock care as she underwent a skin graft to try and repair the damage to her body. In the aftermath of the incident, AJ became Abbie’s full time carer alongside help from her mum, who stepped in so that he could continue to work.
As a result of her injuries, the dancer was left with permanent scarring on her shoulder and arm as well as losing a strip of hair and part of her ear. Speaking about AJ’s support back in October
