Former Strictly Come Dancing star AJ Pritchard has split from his girlfriend Abbie Quinnen after four years together, according to reports. The 27 year old is said to have called time on his relationship with Abbie, 25, last week, leaving Abbie “devastated” by the decision. The couple first started dating back in May 2018 when Abbie auditioned to be a dancer on AJ’s ‘Get On The Floor’ tour, though AJ didn’t originally envision a romantic link between the pair.
“I’m very business-minded so I didn’t really talk to Abbie until the tour had finished. I did think she was really pretty and I enjoyed seeing her dance," the former Strictly Come Dancing professional told OK! back in 2019. "I’d watch her, then cheer a bit too enthusiastically,” he added.
After dancing together, AJ said that there was a “really special connection” with Abbie and the pair grew closer after the tour. After taking Abbie out for dinner for their first date, the pair later became an official item some months later when they went on holiday to Greece together. Then, as the nation went into lockdown back in March 2020, the couple continued to go from strength-to-strength as they quarantined at AJ’s family home in Cheshire with his brother Curtis and his parents Debi and Adrian.
Throughout their time together, the couple regularly gushed over one another on social media and often spoke about the unique experience of navigating their relationship amid talk of a ‘Strictly Curse’ when AJ was on the show.
