Dozens of Hollywood’s most prominent cinematographers banded together today to put a thoughtful argument behind a simple plea: “ban all functional firearms on set.”

The American Film Institute said today that its top 10 lists of 2021 AFI Awards winners in film and television will be revealed on December 8, with an honorees-only event set for January 7 in Los Angeles.

Hutchins graduated from the AFI Conservatory in 2015 and was selected as one of American Cinematographer’s Rising Stars of 2019 as well as a cinematographer for the 21st Century Fox DP Lab in 2018. She had since carved a place for herself in a field traditionally dominated by men.
