The wife of former England rugby union star Tom Youngs, Tiffany, has passed away following an eight year long battle with Hodgkin Lymphoma, a type of blood cancer.Tiffany was diagnosed with the blood cancer in 2014 shortly after giving birth to her daughter Maisie.To try and beat the disease, the young mum underwent several rounds of chemotherapy, but sadly it was not successful, leading the rugby player’s wife to undergo a number of stem cell transplants and clinical trials before being told she had between four weeks and one year to live.Ten months after the heartbreaking diagnosis, having researched alternative therapies, which included taking cannabis oil and changing her diet with the help of a nutritionist, she was declared cancer free and thankfully in remission. Spanish Filmin Buys Lars Von Trier’s ‘The Kingdom’ Trilogy

Elsa Keslassy International CorrespondentSpanish streaming service Filmin has acquired Lars von Trier’s “The Kingdom” trilogy, along with the full library of films by the director, from TrustNordisk.Von Trier is currently completing the third and final instalment of “The Kingdom,” his cult 1990s TV show about the good, evil and paranormal inside the neurosurgical ward of Denmark’s main hospital.Filmin is also acquiring the restored Seasons 1 and 2 of the show and will launch the complete series in Spain. The trilogy has already been acquired in several territories, including Germany and Austria (Koch Films), Japan (Synca Creations) and South Korea (AtNine).“We are pleased to experience this high level of interest in the series among buyers, who are evidently intrigued and excited about the series’ epic story, director and cast, which of course comes as no surprise,” said Susan Wendt, TrustNordisk’s managing director.

George Shapiro, executive producer for the seminal Emmy-winning sitcom “Seinfeld” and well-respected Hollywood personal manager, died Thursday in his Beverly Hills home a result of natural causes, per multiple outlets. He was 91.Along with his longtime collaborator and friend Howard West, he launched Shapiro/West Productions in 1973, which was crucial to the creation of “Seinfeld.” In addition to Jerry Seinfeld, he helped guide the careers of the likes of Andy Kaufman and Carl Reiner.Shapiro, a Bronx native, graduated from New York University with a degree in advertising and marketing and served a stint in the army, after which he took a job in the mailroom at the William Morris Agency. Soon afterward, he climbed the ranks to become an agent, where he assembled talent for shows like “The Steve Allen Show,” “That Girl” and “Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C.” He also packaged specials for Dick Van Dyke, Mary Tyler Moore and Carol Channing.
