Abbott Elementary premiered on ABC in December 2021 and it earned a 0.6 ratings in the 18-49 demo and 2.79 million viewers for the first episode.
With 35 days of viewing added to those totals, thanks to people watching on ABC’s linear and digital platforms, that number has risen 300%. The demo rating is now 2.4 and the viewership has risen to 7.1 million total viewers, according to Deadline.
In this Abbott Elementary, a group of dedicated, passionate teachers — and a slightly tone-deaf principal — are brought together in a Philadelphia public school where, despite the odds stacked against them, they are determined to help their students succeed in life. Though these incredible educators may be outnumbered and underfunded, they love what they do — even if they don’t love the school district’s less-than-stellar attitude toward educating children.
Also starring with Quinta are Tyler James Williams, Janelle James, Chris Perfetti, Lisa Ann Walter, and Sheryl Lee Ralph.

The network’s action spurred strong emotions and split allegiances about whether the politically liberal actress should be canceled or counseled.Isaac de Castro, editor of Jewcy, an online platform for young Jews, said on Twitter that Goldberg’s offensive comments reflected the inability of many Americans to understand race and racism outside their prism.
