But the way the interview was edited, it wasn’t clear she was talking about vaccinated people — and references spread widely online implying she was talking about all COVID-19 victims. The interview was seized upon by figures like Donald Trump Jr., Tucker Carlson and Laura Ingraham to imply the Biden administration has been lying to the public about the importance of vaccines. The network remained mum on Thursday about the controversy.

However, experts say ABC News has a responsibility to talk to viewers about what happened and why, to prevent misinformation from spreading further. In the interview on Friday, Cecilia Vega asked Walensky about the “encouraging headlines” surrounding a study that showed how well vaccines worked to prevent severe illness.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention director began by summarizing some of the findings. But ABC edited out the summary, about 20 seconds of her answer.

Two things Tuchel got right and two he got wrong as Chelsea held by Brighton
Daily Star Sport takes a look at what went right, and what went wrong on the night. Two things Tuchel got right...It's fair to say that Ziyech didn't have his best game against Manchester City on Saturday, as the Moroccan squandered many opportunities during a 1-0 defeat. However, despite change in his starting line-up elsewhere, Tuchel kept Ziyech in the side, and he was rewarded for his selection as the winger fired Chelsea ahead in style.Ziyech caused Dan Burn problems for the majority of the night, and his ambitious strike caught everyone off guard as he carved the opener with a powerful effort. With so many attacking stars at Chelsea, it's a tall order to hold down a consistent role, but more performances like that and Ziyech will give himself the best possible chance of staying in Tuchel's side.Brighton have become one of the most admired sides in the Premier League, and Chelsea learnt first-hand at Stamford Bridge that Graham Potter's side cannot be underestimated.Unlike many other smaller sides, Brighton enjoy playing the 'big six', and regularly give them a good game too, and the Seagulls dominated the early stages. But the best teams pounce when the opportunity presents itself, and Chelsea took full advantage as Brighton failed to close down Ziyech, who smashed in the opening goal.Brighton pressed and hassled for the majority of the night, but the first time that they took their foot off the gas, Chelsea punished them.
