A$AP Rocky issues apology following Rolling Loud New York performance

The two New York ex-cons accused in connection with the shooting death of the father of a local Marist College student at a Poughkeepsie hotel were ordered held without bail on Friday after they pleaded not guilty.  Roy Johnson and Devin Taylor are charged separately for their involvement in the October 2 shooting that led to the death of 53-year-old Paul Kutz and the discovery of an alleged bomb-making "manual."  Wearing a white t-shirt and an orange jail-issued jumpsuit with his hair up, Johnson – the man accused of opening fire and killing Kutz – appeared in New York's Dutchess County Court early Friday. Johnson, 35, was indicted on one count of second-degree murder and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.  Taylor, 26, appeared separately from Johnson on two charges of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree and one count of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree.  Photos show Paul Kutz with his family in an image from 2013.

A group of Orthodox Jews in New York City are suing the state’s new law banning carrying a firearm in a house of worship and arguing that it essentially makes them "sitting ducks." The Jewish congregation in Midwood, Brooklyn, in a suit organized by the New York State Jewish Gun Club in Rockland County, filed the lawsuit on September 29 objecting to the state’s Concealed Carry Improvement Act signed by New York Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul, the New York Post reported.

A federal judge temporarily blocked parts of New York state's new gun law in order to allow the Gun Owners of America to pursue a lawsuit challenging the legislation.  Chief Judge Glenn Suddaby of Northern District of New York state in Syracuse ruled that the Gun Owners of America (GOA) have a legitimate case for lawsuit against the new state law complicating the process to obtain a gun license. The decision will not go into effect for three days to allow the New York government to appeal Suddaby's ruling to a higher court.

A Pennsylvania man who was visiting his Marist College freshman daughter over the weekend and staying in the Marriott Courtyard hotel where a homeless felon allegedly gunned down another dad Sunday said it could've happened to anyone and that he has new concerns about his daughter's safety. "You feel so bad for that family," John Bucsek told Fox News Digital Wednesday.

At the request of Mayor Eric Adams and the New York City Police Department, Bronx native Sha Ek, Brooklyn’s 22Gz and Ron Suno, another Bronx-born rapper, won’t be allowed to participate in what has become one of the biggest rap festivals in the country based on a potential for violence. Speaking to Variety, Sha Ek’s manager, Stanley “Noodles” Davis, was baffled by the NYPD’s decision, especially since his client has no criminal history. As he pointed out, the Warner Music Group signee has changed his life around. He recently landed at No. 1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart and was able to buy his first house. Davis said when Ek got the news, it was “pure devastation.”
