The 36-year-old actress is also fulfilling a storyline that happened on Glee when her character Rachel Berry starred in the first-ever Broadway revival of Funny Girl after idolizing Barbra Streisand while growing up, just as Lea herself did.
Some of Lea‘s Glee castmates have already rushed to see her in the musical during the first two months of her run, while some other former co-stars have publicly voiced that they will not be attending the show.
Lea will be starring in the show through September 2023.
