Looking for a family getaway that will keep both children and adults entertained? Paultons Park in Hampshire may just be the escape you’ve been looking for. Here’s why… 1. It’s home to Peppa Pig World! With grandparents in tow and excitable children aged two, six and 10 to entertain, picking a please-all weekend away was always going to be a challenge for us.
However, we achieved the seemingly impossible at Peppa Pig World, where every member of our seven-strong party was catered for.The attraction for the Peppa-obsessed two-year-old was obvious. From posing for pics with a friendly George Pig to riding on Mrs Rabbit’s helicopter and Grandpa Pig’s Boat, and letting off steam in the rocket soft play, he didn’t stop smiling. But we hadn’t realised this is just one part of the much larger and beautifully planned Paultons Park – which offers nearly 80 rides. 2. It’s the UK’s best-rated amusement park on Tripadvisor Our older two children, California-born and regulars at Universal Studios and DisneyLand prior to our move to the UK, are still raving about the dinosaur-themed Lost Kingdom, which had minimal queue time and a thrilling rollercoaster. They also had six goes in a row on the Pirate Ship, while the toddler was taken to watch penguins being fed and large turtles trundling around.
The grandparents, due to vertigo, skipped anything vaguely fast or shaky but enjoyed strolling the manicured gardens at the heart of this 140-acre park. Admiring the exotic plants and pink flamingos, they were impressed by the space and cleanliness. It’s no wonder Paultons Park ranks as the UK’s best-rated amusement park on Tripadvisor
