The final numbers have been revealed for the 2021 to 2022 broadcast-TV season, via TVLine.
The highest viewed show garnered over 18 million viewers, up by 9% year after year. One show also dropped out of the Top 10 compared to last year.

The “Stranger Things 4” buzz doesn’t appear to be dying down any time soon.The fourth season has now become Netflix’s most-watched English language series ever with 781.04 million hours viewed. It’s also the fastest a TV season has ever accomplished such a feat. In its third week since release, “Stranger Things 4” Volume 1 raked in another 159.24 million hours, once again making it Netflix’s top-viewed series of the week.
Stranger Things 4 Vol. 1 pulled in an additional 159.24M hours viewed in its second full week of release, bringing its total to 781.04M hours viewed in 17 days. As expected, the period sci-fi series shot up to the top of the Most Popular English-language TV series on Netflix all-time list, which measures viewership during a season’s first 28 days on the service, eclipsing Bridgerton Season 2 (656M) and Bridgerton S1 (625M), which are now in second and third place, respectively.
