'13 Reasons Why' Debuts Trailer for Fourth & Final Season - Watch!

What happened to 13 Reasons Why? It failed its viewers. The Netflix drama based on Jay Asher's book of the same name had a well-received first season chronicling the events that led up to the suicide of Hannah Baker (Katherine Langford), the aftermath and the tapes she left behind with her reasoning.

13 Reasons Why has courted controversy since its inception—literally, the book it was adapted from has been in multiple school districts—but, of course, that didn’t stop cast and creators from rolling out an additional three seasons. (Each of which drew their own fair share of scandal.) Now, Netflix says it’s officially throwing in the towel, and the fifth season, which debuted on June 5, will be the last.

Maybe it’s been so long since I’ve been in high school that I’ve forgotten how dramatic that period of life actually was, but after watching the new trailer for Season 4 of “13 Reasons Why,” I am reminded that my time as a teen wasn’t nearly as harrowing as the cast of characters in the Netflix drama. And I’m beyond thankful because these kids have it rough.

Netflix unveiled the emotional first look at the fourth and final season of its hit series 13 Reasons Why on Tuesday (May 12).While fans will have to wait for the official trailer, the new clip features the cast of the teen drama gathering for a tear-filled table read, as well as footage from a school dance.

Unfortunately for “Fuller House” fans, the show is coming to an end after five seasons, with its “Farewell Season” debuting June 2.
