Summer holidays are on Scot's minds once again after two years of Covid travel rules put plans on hold.
Now that restrictions are lifting and the weather is improving, it will no doubt be a busy summer season for popular holiday destinations.
This is why June can be a great holiday month for those who are not committed to school calendars. It is a month where the sun is out in many hotspots like Turkey, Portugal, and Croatia, and many more.
Also, it is a good time to avoid the crowds and expense tied to the peak holiday season.
To help you make plans, the Mirror has listed 10 of the best places for a sunny holiday in June.
Portugal has long been a firm favourite with Brits thanks to those ridiculously beautiful beaches, brilliant hotels and the plethora of bars and restaurants on offer.
Lisbon is great if you're after a city with a buzz as well as brilliant views, while those after lazy beach days will want to head to the Algarve which is renowned for its beautiful sandy shores and coastal resorts.
In June, temperatures in hotspots can reach 28C which is perfect for those who want to laze by the sea, but you may want to pack some layers for the evenings as temperatures can drop to 20C once the sun has set.
Temperatures on mainland Greece in June can be around 28C, which is ideal if you're planning to hit some of the incredible Greek beaches, although still not too hot if you're hoping to go exploring the likes of Athens.
The Greek islands including popular hotspots like Santorini and Rhodes tend to have similar weather to the mainland, although it can get a bit cooler in the evening so it's worth throwing a jumper or two into your suitcase.
